Computer complaints turn into compliments Sperry saves time for lawmakers
Des Moines lawyers and lawmakers praise the Sperry computer system’s public access feature and Mapper software that speeds research, bill status checks, and budget analysis. The system, first funded in 1983, faced initial cost and performance controversy but now offers quick code changes, calendars, and drafting aids for the Iowa Legislature.
