Fewer speeding tickets on interstates in 1988 study says

Iowa State Patrol reports 1988 interstate speeding citations fell by more than half from 1985 while primary highways saw a 26 percent rise. Col Blaine Goff cites 65 mph rural interstate limit as cause. IDOT stats show 221,588 speeding citations citywide in 1988, with about one third missing from drivers records due to a 1985 rule.
