Quilts Turn Social Justice Voices Into Art in Pasadena
In QuiltCon West Pasadena exhibits move beyond traditional patterns to address gun violence and racial injustice. Quilter Jacquie Gering inspired by nightly violence reports created "Bang You're Dead" a bloodstained 5 foot handgun quilt. Kimber's "The One for Eric" won first prize and prompts dialogue about policing and violence.
