Airport threat suspect tied to UNI job fair denied
The Australian suspect in an airport threat case was in Iowa for a job fair at the University of Northern Iowa, but UNI has no record of him applying or attending. Kennedy, 38, had not signed up for the fair, never worked for UNI, and has no legitimate university connection. He appeared in U.S. District Court, was transferred to INS custody, and faces a single charge of conveying false information related to an aircraft. He remained jailed in Linn County as officials determine removal status and impose conditions.
