Linn-Mar's defense and hot shooting edged Kennedy 56-47 in a Class 4A girls regional semifinal. Erin Streilner hit three straight 3s in the third quarter to seal the win as Brooke Zrudsky contributed 11 points and eight rebounds. Kennedy, led by Vanessa Schrock and Rachel Watts, shot poorly and fouled much, finishing 13-9. Linn-Mar improved to 12-11 and advances to face Prairie for a state-berth in Des Moines.
