Ruth Marie Irene Gahring died at Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg at age 93. She was born October 21, 1922 in rural Iowa County to Martin and Elisa Kleinmeyer and married Dwight Gahring in 1941. She worked briefly for Pioneer Hybrid Seed and devoted life to family, active in St Paul Lutheran Church and Ladies VFW Auxiliary. Survived by three children, 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two sisters in law. predeceased by husband, a daughter Linda Faye, two sons Ronald and Donald, two sisters and a brother. Services Monday at St Paul Lutheran Church. Burial at church cemetery. Visitation Sunday 3–6 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Memorials to St Paul Lutheran Church or Iowa County Safe Haven.
