Final figures from the Iowa Winter Beef Expo show a record gross of 1,539,720 dollars from 1,022 head at an average of 1,506. Notable top sellers include a Chianina bull at 10,500 dollars owned by Gary Green of Elpinstone, Manitoba, Canada and sold to Bellar Farms of Wisner, Nebraska, and a top Chianina female at 8,000 dollars to Ameri-Chi Cattle Co. Norway. The event also featured Polled Hereford and Angus sales with strong bulls and cows across 52 and 130 head groups respectively.
