Onassis sought hard split with Jackie before death
The biographer of Aristotle Onassis claims he began divorce proceedings against Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1974 to force a harsh, humiliating split. Roy Cohn confirmed Arianna Stassinopoulos' account that Onassis wanted a reportedly bitter settlement and to marry Maria Callas. He left Jackie $120,000. Christina agreed to a $26 million settlement after his death.
