Five killed and more than 60 injured as riots flare in Cross Roads near Cape Town and other black townships. Police used rubber bullets tear gas and helicopters amid protests over housing rent and demobilized workers.
Meredith Corp. chief executive Robert Burnett urged Iowa lawmakers to raise the sales tax to offset tax repeals hindering business growth.
