Hunt proposed to test for chronic wasting disease near Harpers Ferry
An unprecedented deer hunt may take place west of Harpers Ferry to collect 150 to 200 tissue samples for chronic wasting disease testing. DNR officials note cases in the area since 2013 and aim to map the outbreak with permits for participating hunters and landowners.
