AT&T began slowing data speeds for its top data users under a new policy. Mike Trang, a California property manager, had his iPhone traffic cut by about 99 percent, making pages load slowly and maps fail. AT&T says about 17 million unlimited plan customers are affected.
Kirkwood Community College and Clipper Windpower commissioned a 2.5 megawatt turbine along South Drive that will generate about one third of the college’s annual electricity, saving around 300000 dollars. Excess power goes to Alliant Energy while students assist with maintenance and learning at the wind site.
