In Le Mars AP prosecutors resist a bid to turn over trial records from Donald Boss. Lisa Boss, 34, is charged with murder, kidnapping and child endangerment in Timothy's death. Donald Boss, 38, was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life. Lisa Boss faces July 29 trial.
Two men, Christopher Lehnen and Jonathan Chapman, were stopped about 20 miles northeast of Atlantic, Iowa, on Interstate 90 for transporting marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms. They face charges of possession of marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms with intent to deliver, failure to affix drug tax stamps, and prohibited acts. Detention is in Cass County jail on $148,200 bond.
The CF Processing plant debts are unpaid since March 2001 after Crestland Cooperative bankruptcy. Union County will issue around 4 million in bonds, with the county facing about 563,000 this year and city taxes rising 42 cents per 1600 dollars to cover unpaid property taxes. Mayor Wynn blamed the slow economy and the restructuring plan due by March 15.
CRESCO AP A man was arrested after police found more than 20 pounds of marijuana in his northeast Iowa home. Francis A. Sindelar 48 faced charges of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana and failure to have a drug tax stamp. Officers also found fertilizers potting soil seeds bags and other materials used to grow marijuana. Sindelar remained jailed Monday in Howard County. Cresco lies about 20 miles northwest of Decorah.
