Air Force Helicopter Visits Iowa City West Students
An Air Force helicopter landed on the Iowa City West High School practice field to engage aerospace engineering students. Pilots from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota explained the aircraft en route to North Carolina for routine maintenance. Captain Nicholas Sanchez, a 2018 UI graduate, said the stop aims to spark interest in aviation and possibly the Air Force.
