Iowa fugitive pleads guilty to federal gun charge
Bruce E. Swan, 34, formerly of Burlington, pleaded guilty in Rock Island Illinois to possession of a firearm by a felon. Swan was convicted in 1990 of attempted murder and second degree burglary in Des Moines County and sentenced to 25 years in prison. He escaped in 2001 and was captured in 2002 near Gladstone Illinois with a .38 caliber pistol.
