Margaret A. Schmitz 74 of Jesup formerly of rural Fairbank died February 15 2003 at Cedar Valley Hospice Waterloo after a long illness. Services set 10 30 a m Tuesday at St Athanasius Jesup with burial at St Joseph Cemetery Raymond. Visitation after 2 p m today at White Funeral Home Jesup with rosary at 3 and vigil at 7 then one hour before services at church. She is survived by husband Mathias five daughters Shirley Fettkether Rosie Kalb Jan Straley Jane Cannon and Carol Reiter four sons Tom Richard David and a Cedar Falls son four brothers four sisters

Ruhl 90 died February 15 2003 in Vinton Lutheran Home after an extended illness with visitation in Vinton and interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Survivors include a son Tex of Vinton. Esther born July 21 1912 in Vinton to Hugo and Maymie Knoeller married Charles L. Ruhl August 31 1932 in Morrison Illinois. Charley preceded her in death in 1998. Esther was a homemaker and member of Wesley United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary. She was predeceased by son Curt and brothers Elmer Lawrence and Hughie Noeller.
