Bills embarrass credit service in Linn County incident
The Consumer Credit Counseling Service faced overdue bills totaling over 200 dollars, many 90 days old, while assuring clients were not affected. Gene Knepper admitted taking on too much responsibility for the service’s operations though client funds remained separate. The Health Center board discussed payments and the service’s limited staff including one counselor and a secretary.
