Library moves branch to Target store near Westdale Mall
The library will relocate from Westdale Mall to the former Target space after renovation, seeking lower operating costs and a street presence with natural light. By year five, costs drop to about 184 500 annually versus 280 000 at the Bishop’s site and 240 000 at the Osco site. The Iowa Substance Abuse Information Center may use space there, and the move is driven by mall uncertainty and lack of public demand to stay.
