Charles Cook sued Albert over damage from a drunk minor. The court ruled a social host who furnishes liquor to a minor can be liable for the minor’s subsequent negligent acts injuring a third party. Albert’s defense failed. Charles was awarded $500,000. The ruling follows New Jersey Civil Appeals guidance.
