Clinton tours Linn County Day Care program gains support
At a Cedar Rapids event, Clinton heard from Linn County Day Care staff and parents about the center’s impact. Lewis, a former client and now social worker, credited the program with preparing his sons for normal life and reducing abuse fears. Parent Loftus cried as she praised the center’s care for the whole child. The center, 25th anniversary last year, prioritizes low income families with 68 children enrolled, including 16 in Head Start, with DHS aid for some families.
