Mrs. J. B. Nolan 55 of 1710 First Avenue NE died of a heart attack late Monday after complaining of chest pain while in the kitchen. She was taken to Mercy hospital where she died on arrival. Born January 8, 1895 in Houston Texas, she leaves husband, a son John J. Nolan of Cedar Rapids, and sister Mrs. E. C. Childs of Topeka. She belonged to Immaculate Conception church and VFW Auxiliary. Friends may visit Brady mortuary. body to Newton Kansas for services and burial.

California Democrat George Luckey reports President Truman replied maybe to a 1952 re election idea. Luckey said Truman indicated he would consider running again if the same supporting team from 1948 is kept together.
Nashville report quotes Guy Gabrielson, Republican National Committee chairman, warning Monday night that the GOP will oppose a Truman candidacy if he runs in 1952 to avoid another victory by default.

Thomas Abodeely 60 of 1501 Bever Avenue SE Cedar Rapids died at 1 20 p m Monday after a brief illness in a Cedar Rapids hospital He was born in Aithey Syria and ordained in 1928 in New York City He served churches in Worcester and Lowell Massachusetts Louisville Kentucky Kearney Nebraska and Cedar Rapids Survived by wife Ida Katherine two sons Kenneth and George five daughters Ramza Vivian Loretta Mrs Robert Sedlacek of Iowa City and Mrs Saba Ellis of Madison Virginia a brother Moses Abodeely two sisters Mrs Annie Hassan and Mrs Barbara Davis both of Lowell and three grandchildren The body is at the Barta Hesser chapel Funeral announcement will be made later.
Benjamin L Bain aged 65 of 1516 C avenue NE Cedar Rapids died in a local hospital at 9 50 p m Monday after a sudden illness. Survived by wife Mabel and six children in Cedar Rapids Chicago North Ridge Calif Brooklyn and New York, six brothers and three sisters. Funeral 3 30 p m Friday Beatty chapel with Rev Rodney C Gould officiating. Burial Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
Theodore Frederick Wendler of 219 Fifteenth Street NE Cedar Rapids died at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday after a long illness. Born July 15 1872 in Schleswig Holstein Denmark he came to the United States at age 10. Surviving are two daughters Grace Davis and Jeanette Palmer two stepsons William and George Breidert a step daughter Mrs J A Twohig nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be at Turner chapel at 1 30 Thursday with burial in Wood Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
Henry Bollen aged 66 of 508 Avenue NE Cedar Rapids died of a heart attack Monday afternoon while sitting in his car behind the YWCA. Coroner Robertsen cited the time of death about 4 20 PM. Bollen, born September 23 in Clinton, had worked for Miles Real Estate and was a member of the Episcopal church and the Lodge of Perfection A F and AM.

Survived by wife Stella son Willard daughter Alta Spicer brother Charles seven grandchildren. Born near Stone City Sept 17, 1867, he lived in Cedar Rapids six years. Friends may call at the chapel.
William Frondle was found dead Sunday at his home 1114 Eighth Street SE. Services will be conducted at 1 30 p m Wednesday in the Beatty chapel by Rev A B Curran. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Belle Plaine. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Harry C. Bigler, 47, Detroit manager of Detroit personnel for General Motors, collapsed and died in Ames on Monday. Dr. John C. Grant of Iowa State College Hospital said the death was due to a heart attack. Bigler had been interviewing engineering students at the college.

The hearing on control of the CIO Labor Center in Cedar Rapids was postponed from Tuesday morning to Tuesday afternoon before Judge G. K. Thompson. Attorneys for both sides met to draft a stipulation of facts to speed the proceedings. Plaintiffs led by Hobbie Kopecky and Petrusch sought to add 117 signers as plaintiffs and asked dismissal of the defendants' answer and cross petitions. The plaintiffs claim their actions last month to take over the labor center were legal and deny CIO involvement in the case outcome.
Richard Madison, 30, of 284 Thirteenth Street NW, was arraigned in district court on operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. Judge J E Heiserman set Friday at 10 am to plead. Madison is held in the county jail on a $1000 bond. Police say he drove a taxi from Union Depot to his home Sunday afternoon after drinking.
John C. Borden, 39, of 108 Ellis Terrace NW, pled guilty to drunk driving. District Judge J. E. Heiserman fined him 300 dollars plus costs after a Sunday arrest near First Street and Ninth Avenue SW following a minor accident.
The will of Clayton D. Sherrill who died January 17 is admitted to probate. Ralph L. Orth of Wyoming is named executor with bond set at eight thousand dollars. The will provisions follow.

Sherrill of Wyoming, one third to Mrs. Alice Stroud of San Diego, one sixth to Mrs. Nina Willison of Anamosa, and one sixth to Mrs. Mildred Mohr of Wyoming.

The will of Arthur G Rud dlesdin who died February 6 was admitted to probate. Bertha Simmons sister in law was named executrix and left the bulk of the estate.
