The 2012 Q4 national mortgage delinquency rate dropped to 5.19 percent, down 14 percent from 2011. Iowa posted 2.98 percent 60 days or more past due, while North Dakota had the lowest rate at 1.53 percent. TransUnion analysts cite lower cost of living and real estate as factors.
