Double homicide trial delayed for Kendu Petties in Cedar Rapids
In Linn County, a judge set a two day delay for Kendu Petties 32 on two counts of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit a forcible felony linked to the 2014 shooting deaths of Quintrell Perkins 22 and Serra h Simmons 20 while they baby sat. Petties extradited from Mesa Arizona faces two life terms without parole if convicted. The trial will now begin Wednesday and is expected to last nearly two weeks.
