Since 1993 Bret Hoyer led Cedar Rapids Kennedy baseball improvements with a 25 by 37 foot scoreboard moved from Memorial Stadium. The Kennedy Baseball Support Group raised about 4000 for upgrades after buying the refurbished unit for 500 with parent volunteers handling removal, transport, repainting and bulb checks.
