Dean of the College Carson W ' **rh has also been appointed provost, and Alan G. Mclvor Is now dean of admissions and •student services with the advis-I n g and counseling center placed under his jurisdiction.
Dean Veach has been with Coe since September, 1970. He holds degrees from St. Anselm’s college, Harvard university and Indiana university.
He serves as vice-chairman of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest council of deans, and will serve as chairman during the academic year 1974 75 of hoth the ACM council and the Stillwater conference of academic deans.
As provost, Dean Veach will be acting in the place of the
president whenever the president is not on campus.
Mclvor holds degrees from the University of Iowa and Mac-alester college.
Mclvor was appointed director of admissions in July, 1970 and was given additional re sponsibilities in student services in 1972.
Australian Will Speak Feb. 18
An Australian educator will discuss creativity and a new curriculum model with teachers and school administrators at the Joint County School System Feb 18 from 7 p rn. to 9 p m
David Cohen, associate pro fessor of education, Macquarie university, New South Wales, Australia, has experimented with many aspects of creativity in the classroom and is interested in its measurement. He has developed techniques to foster creativity and has designed a new curriculum model geared toward the creative talents of school children.
The in-service program, which will include a dialog between Cohen and teachers, is under the sponsorship of the science education department of the University of Iowa

Both sets of classes begin Feb. 20 and run through April 12
The children’s classes are open for those in grades one through six Children in grades one through three will be in one group while those in gr ades four through six will be in another. Both groups will meet from 4 to 5 p rn on Wednesdays.
Projects will include both two and three dimensional work including clay, painting, drawing and sculpture. Fee is $0.
The junior high classes will meet from 4 to 5 p m. I’hurs-days. Individual instruction will he emphasized. Fee is $10.

Tell Speaker for Joint Meeting
Dr. R. E. D. Woolley, professor of mathematics at the Colorado School of Mines at Golden and a business consultant, will speak Wednesday before a combined meeting of the Eastern Iowa Purchasing Management Assn. and the American Production and Inventory Control society.
Dr. Woolsey’s topic will be "Quick and Dirty Methods or] Common Sense Is Better than Ever”.

Kocher Art Shown in Pennsylvania College
Robert Kocher, professor of art and chairman of the art department at Coe college, has a on* man show in progress at Franklin and Marshall college, Lancaster, Pa.
The exhibit includes fabric hangings produced by Kocher and his wife, Juan, and 15 felt-tip pen drawings.
