Volkswagen sets up Electrify America to fund US zero-emission plan
VW forms Electrify America, a $2 billion subsidiary to build and operate a cross country fast charging network and over 300 chargers in 15 metros. CEO Mark McNabb will lead, based in Reston Virginia. The 14.7 billion EPA deal requires 800 million in California and 1.2 billion elsewhere, with four 30 month rollout cycles.
