Fog and speed blamed for 18 year old's fatal crash
Cedar Rapids police say dense fog and Lynn Jones driving too fast for conditions caused the 23 car pileup on Highway 30 near the ADM Corn Sweeteners plant. A College Community school bus had slowed, and Jones could not stop, striking the bus then being rear ended by another car. Authorities note ADM steam may have reduced visibility and that IDOT could detour traffic if needed.
