Corridor Fugitive Inmate Returns to Mercy Medical Center
Linn County Sheriff’s Office says Kevin Houser 51 of Cedar Rapids is back at Mercy Medical Center after escaping from a hospital Friday. He was reported missing Friday about 9 a.m. and returned for treatment about 7:45 a.m. Saturday. Houser faces escape charges and remains under guard. Separately, a 77 year old woman was taken to Mercy after an apartment fire at Oak Hill Manor 1301 15th St SE. firefighters found thick smoke and housed a disoriented resident who was treated at Mercy.
