Iowa caucus poll shows Gephardt leads Democrats and Dole tops Republicans
University of Iowa poll of 360 committed voters late last week finds Democratic frontrunner Gephardt at 32 percent, Dukakis 22, Simon 18, with Hart, Jackson, and Babbitt trailing. On the GOP side Dole leads with 49 percent, Bush 31, Robertson 12, Kemp 8. Margin of error about six points.
