Dear John movie review finds Sparks tale simplistic
Roger Ebert critiques Lasse Hallstroms film Dear John starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. The piece argues the story softens tragedy with likable characters and melodramatic romance, noting 9/11 re enlistment and a predictable ending. It questions autism portrayal and the film's moral tone.
