Iowa Supreme Court to review same sex divorce case

The Iowa Supreme Court agreed to review a divorce case involving Kimberly Brown and Jennifer Perez from Sioux City. Lawmakers and the Church of Christ of Le Mars claim Iowa law recognizes only a man and a woman in marriage and sought to block the divorce. Iowa Methodist Hospital Plan Rejected in West Des Moines

State Health Facilities Council rejected Iowa Methodist Medical Center's proposal to build an 83 bed hospital in West Des Moines.
