Former Iowa police chief settles sex bias case with city
Ford sued Anamosa alleging gender discrimination by Police Chief Simonson who sent numerous sexist and racist emails from city computers. The settlement requires the city to pay 50 000 and EMC Insurance 700 000. Ford resigned in 2017 and urged stronger action against retaliation.
