Jury fails to reach verdict in fatal Iowa crash case
A mistrial was declared in the vehicular homicide case of Galen Ludvicek 47 of Swisher after nearly four days of jury deliberations with one member short of unanimity. The collision on August 6 2002 in Cedar Rapids killed Teresa Osburn 35 who was pregnant. Robert Osburn survived. A new trial date was set for May 2.

Russell King, 28, of 1495 George Dr., is accused of leaving his 4-year-old daughter Lexi and 2-year-old son Dillon at home unsupervised around 4:50 a.m. Jan. 26 while he exercised.
