Instrumental Music Festival at Coe Draws Eastern Iowa Students
More than 200 junior and senior high musicians from Eastern Iowa join the 11th annual Coe College Instrumental Music Festival. A 7:30 p.m. concert at Sinclair Auditorium caps the day with tickets at 1 for adults and 50 cents for students. The event features senior and junior high bands directed by H. Robert Reynolds of the University of Michigan and Jim Wright of Cedar Rapids Washington High School, with Dr. Thomas Slattery as festival coordinator.
