Funeral services for Rev. Fred Starke held in Cedar Rapids
Funeral services for the Rev. Fred Starke 79 who died Wednesday in a Vinton hospital will be held Saturday at 1 30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories Cedar Rapids with burial at Cedar Memorial. Visitation at Fellmer funeral home Keystone Friday and at the Chapel of Memories after 10 a.m. Saturday. Survivors include five sons a daughter eight grandchildren and one sister. The Rev Starke retired in 1955 after more than 50 years in Iowa churches and helped establish many congregations through the Iowa District Mission Board.

KCRG TV 9 has exclusive rights to the RKO feature library for Eastern Iowa. Saud's Son Gets Special Braces For Suspected Cerebral Palsy
Prince Mashur Ibn Saud, three, son of King Saud, diagnosed tentatively with a slight cerebral palsy at Walter Reed after arrival with President Eisenhower's request. Doctors found a shortened right heel cord causing toe walking and ordered a short right leg brace and eight pairs of Leela shoes. The boy, escorted by Major General Howard Snyder, was examined by a panel at Walter Reed, with Saudi physicians present as part of the evaluation.
