Amazing accident at La Salle Steel Mill injures Paul Kosky
On June 25, 1927, Paul Kosky of Hammond Indiana was struck in the head by a 48 inch red hot bar drawn from Sama rods at the La Salle Steel Mill. The bar passed through his head and brain, yet he remained conscious and survived after six months in and out of hospital. The Indiana State Medical Journal of January 1933 details the case by Dr John R Pugh.
