Census Bureau finalizes 1980 population count for House seats

Leading indicators rise 1.2 percent in November

The Commerce Department reports the index of leading indicators up 1.2 percent in November, the sixth consecutive monthly gain and stronger than October’s 0.7 percent revision. Eight of ten measures rose, with jobless claims down, average workweek up, and shipments, orders, and permits showing gains. Two indicators declined.
