Morals Charge Filed Against Robert Olson
A 29-year-old Cedar Rapids minister, Robert Olson, was arraigned in district court on charges of lascivious acts with a minor boy. Olson pled innocent and posted a $500 bond before his release. The Concordia Lutheran pastor resigned as church officials said. Cedar Rapids juvenile officers led the probe noting six teenage boys involved and that Olson allegedly supplied liquor at his home.

Fire Provides Warm Welcome for New Farm Family
A home near Strawberry Point suffered a roof fire when chimney sparks ignited the roof as the Wulfekuhle family moved in seven miles southwest of town. Lamont firefighters controlled the blaze while Strawberry Point crews assisted due to low water. Fire caused a large roof hole and extensive smoke and water damage. no furniture was inside.
