The body of Syl vanus Oldridge, 15, was found hanging from a barn rafter near Troy Mills. Coroner P C Heege ruled suicide. Parents Mr and Mrs George Oldridge and sister Leona were present. survivors include two brothers Marvin and Carl and seven other siblings in the Troy Mills area.
Police recovered the car of George McCollister Gazette advertising salesman after it was stolen from in front of The Gazette building Thursday noon. The abandoned vehicle showed about 200 miles of travel and was found at K street and Sixteenth avenue SW. A nearby witness provided a thief description and said he could identify him. detectives pursue leads.
Mary Joan two weeks old daughter of Charlotte Gibson died Friday at her grandparents home in Nyack New York. The cause of death was not disclosed. Sidney Homewood father of the child was convicted of seducing Miss Gibson and sentenced to prison. he remains jailed in Rockland awaiting appeal.
