Iowa push to require sex abuse awareness training in public schools
Rep. Greg Heartsill and the Iowa Network Against Human Trafficking seek a bill modeled on Erin’s Law to require sexual abuse awareness training for public school students and staff. The measure, already backed by groups in Ames and Cedar Rapids, faces funding and implementation questions but aims to empower students to report abuse and help parents understand the topic.
