Love to Share aid flows from churches to Postville relief

Postville relief coordinator Mary Jo Moore reports solid donations from Christ Presbyterian Church Cedar Rapids as the first out of town congregation. Baraboo Wisconsin church may follow with similar support. Items including food toiletries bedding baby gear toys clothing will be handed out today 12 30 to 4 30 p m in the elementary school's multipurpose room. Monetary gifts are requested to Love to Share accounts at Citizens State Bank and Postville State Bank both in Postville IA 52162.

Woman accused of stealing champagne at Iowa City store

LaDonna Potter, 39, of 2010 Broadway St Apt H, allegedly tried to steal three bottles of champagne with a Seals accomplice. Potter fled but was found six blocks away. neither subject was accused of brandishing a weapon. Potter remained in custody on $25,000 cash bond ahead of a Jan 8 preliminary hearing.
