Airbus A380 delays deepen as Emirates orders shift deliveries
Airbus told Emirates that delays will push six A380 handovers planned for 2017 and 2018 to 2019 after an engine dispute with Rolls-Royce. Emirates, Rolls-Royce, and Airbus reached a December settlement on engine performance, while Airbus aims to cut costs and maintain about 12 A380s yearly by 2018 despite weak demand and Iran’s stalled orders.
