Auto dealer offers Bahamas trip to boost sales
Ottawa AP reports dealer Des Perkins promised a $287 Bahamas trip to buyers of a Chrysler product. Doug Poulter bought a $1.44 distributor cap and demanded the trip, triggering the deal. Perkins later admitted, “I guess we got burned,” and awarded the trip, while buyers now face prices exceeding $1,500 for the premium.
