Hawkeye Downs Airport Terminal Hosts Rose Bowl Flights
The Hawkeye Downs Exhibition Hall became an airport terminal for 17 Rose Bowl flights with 99 marching band members sharing an afternoon charter and 238 band members scheduled for an 11 p.m. departure. Bud Jameson praised the processing as very smooth while some musicians were bused to the hall to ease airport crowding.
