Iowa lawmakers unmoved on governor backed reform plan
A Reuters Des Moines dispatch reports GOP leaders say they will wait for Gov. Ray’s endorsement before pledging support for 386 state government reforms from the Governor’s Economy Committee. The plan includes school district consolidation and mental health realignment, with estimated annual savings of 128 million dollars and 37.4 million in one‑time gains.
