Many Parties Will Precede Charity Ball

Numerous dinner parties and dutch treat tables assemble before the White Cross Society Charity ball at the Armar ballroom to fund a children’s room at St. Luke's hospital. Larry Fotine's orchestra will play 9:30 to 1:30, with card tables in an alcove, and hundreds dine at the Cedar Rapids Country Club before dancing. A large cross-section of local society members and visiting guests are listed among the attendees.

Lt John Skien Guests Of Parents At Fort Dodge Home

Keen Teen Klub Semi-Formal Attracts 50 Couples

The Keen Teen Klub hosts its first semi formal dance Thursday from 8 to 11 30 p.m. in the Klub rooms. Miss Jean Nie Smith chairs the event with Miss Marilyn Homsey assisting. Music by Al Spetrino. Over fifty couples expected. Decorations include large stars blue streamers and cone lighting. A floor show features singing piano and accordion. Refreshments of cake and ice cream will be served.

Wilson High Library Club Leads Cedar Rapids Youth Effort

The Wilson High School Library Club is the largest active group in Cedar Rapids with 417 of 499 students holding cards.
