Justin Foss reports from KCRG TV9 Cedar Rapids on gift returns. Shoppers at Super Target and Best Buy noted shorter lines due to gift card popularity and extended holiday shopping. The National Retail Federation cites gift cards as the top requested gift for the third year, with stores offering specials while card redemptions remain unrealized on books.

Movies not guarantee stress relief at Galaxy 16 Cine
Galaxy 16 Cine on Council Street faces peak holiday crowds with packed showings on Christmas Day and Saturday. Patrons including Roxanne Koch and Natasha Finn describe moviegoing as a temporary escape from holiday stress, though sold out shows and long lines test patience amid family gatherings and cold weather. Officials note busy box office through New Year’s Eve as crowds seek 3-D and digital premieres like Avatar and Alvin and the Chipmunks Squeakquel.
