Left engine seen as key to flight before Bernard crash

Milwaukee pilot Roy Leiske struggled to control the Cessna Golden Eagle after reports of oil pressure loss in the left engine on April 29. Engineers note the left engine is often the critical engine, complicating single-engine flight due to asymmetric thrust and rudder control. Weather icing could worsen the situation as the aircraft descended toward Bernard.
