Cedar Rapids police requested Linn County attorney consider charging Cheryl Gilson 20 with child endangerment after she and her 18 month old son Michael Dixon were rescued from icy Cedar River early Christmas morning. The child was hospitalized but released. Gilson remained in stable condition. Police suspect domestic dispute may have sparked the incident. Officer John McDaniel was praised for rescuing them.
