Gift of life bridges generations in kidney transplant tale
In 1973 Connie Moore, a nursing student, received a kidney from her father Bill after dialysis began years earlier amid kidney failure. The transplant, one of many at University Hospitals, sparked annual Dec. 18 celebrations and the adoption of Will Kapple, the family’s new daughter-to-be.
