Pair Ties Themselves For Yearlong Performance Art
Linda Montano and Tehching Hsieh plan to spend a year joined by an eight foot nylon rope tied at the waists. They will eat, ride, shop, and sleep in twin beds four feet apart in a SoHo loft while avoiding touching. The project aims to explore fear and discipline through life as art and has produced tense moments and public mixed reactions.
